ASSISTANT HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER


TO LEAD AND MANAGE THE GROUP’S PLANTATION DIVISION IN THE FOLLOWING HUMAN RESOURCE SPECTRUM & SCOPE:
·         • To establish Key Results Area (KRA) and Key Performance Index (KPI) to support the Group’s objectives and targets.
·         • To observe the Group strategic recruitment and selection plan / strategies.
·         • To assure that the Group’s Plantation Division staffing requirements are met in a timely manner, so as to ensure full operational capabilities are realized and legislative / regulatory requirements are satisfied / complied with.
·         • To coordinate with the Group’s strategic training and organizational development plan to meet personal, professional, and organizational needs of employees.
·         • To provide training and effective communication in the implementation of the Group’s policies and procedures and/or related rules and regulations.
·         • To develop, implement and monitor training and development programs, manpower and succession plans to upgrade skills of the people and to enhance the Group’s capabilities towards meeting its goals, objectives and future challenges.
·         • To conduct training need analysis and prepare training budget required in conducting the identified programs and courses..
·         • To oversee the compensation programs to ensure regulatory compliance and competitive salary levels, including in designing and developing compensation strategy and programs.
·         • To evaluate and recommend improvements to benefit and welfare programs.
·         • To evaluate procedures and technology solutions to improve human resources data management, and maintain an effective personal record system for all level of employment.
·         • To develop and manage annual budgets for the Plantation Division HR and perform periodic cost and productivity analysis.
·         • To establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
·         • To administer and manage activities relating to employee relations and to ensure to ensure a healthy, conducive work environment for all employees, and to develop and manage a positive employer-employee relationship and maintain a dispute-free, mutually beneficial work climate.
·         • To be responsible in ensuring that all necessary government related approvals are obtained and complied with, including Immigration matters etc.
·         • To maintain a participative and open door environment in order to ensure that employee grievances / complaints and recommendations / suggestions are heard and attended to.
·         • To administer disciplinary matters in accordance with the Group’s policies and procedures.
·         • To develop, implement and monitor safety programs so as to ensure a safe, hazard-free work environment that will also satisfy regulatory requirements.
·         • To analyse (including benchmark) wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plans.

·         • To prepare yearly personnel forecast to project employment needs.
